It's a Wikiful day today!

Good morning teachers!

What a beautiful day to make a wiki.  I'm excited about creating our classroom wikis.  I hope you are too.  So, please click on this article, take some time to read it, then post your top 3 ways you would like to use Wiki in your classroom.

Thank you:-)

  1. So many good ideas! I think the top three ways that I would like to use Wiki in my classroom would be:
    1) Virtual field trips - have students research far away places they would like to go on a field trip, and get them to share images and information about the location
    2) Fan clubs - start fan clubs for your students’ favorite figures from history and ask them to contribute their favorite quotes, photos, and other tidbits together
    3) Vocabulary lists - encourage students to submit words that they had trouble with, along with a dictionary entry

  2. I like the ideas
Create exploratory projects. We do a lot of project based learning in my classroom since it is multi-grade and this would be a great way for them to collectively share.

Tracking assignments perhaps would be a top three pick. I don't really know how wiki works yet but tracking assignments can be a pain so to see online at a glance what is up would be helpful.

Classroom Scrapbook sounds fun. I think my older kids would enjoy putting it together.

  4. I am also looking forward to exploring the Classroom Scrapbook, Hall of Fame, and Recipe Book idea. This will keep me busy for awhile

  5. I can use it for resources, get students participating more, help organize their work, and sharing their work.
